My name is Tyler Ozog, and the housing crisis we currently face has been one of my biggest passions for as long as I can remember, hence deciding to create Earth and Fire Tiny Developments.
Since I was a little kid, I’ve always dreamed of having those pocket tiny communities. When I was about 8 years old, my buddy and I planned our summers finding scrap wood and building tiny homes for the homeless. This altruistic character trait alongside my entrepreneurial mindset inspired the idea to create tiny home communities.
I have 10+ years’ experience in construction / project management as well as owning a plethora of multifamily homes. In putting together ‘Grateful Tiny Home Community’ on Facebook back in 2021, it was clear that others shared this passion for tiny home living, having accrued over 4k followers in such a short time.
We see large developments being built with larger residential construction projects, including hundreds of thousands of trees being cut down whilst creating so much waste and useless space. With the average housing prices being at $450-$550k and homes being sold between 300k to nearly a million dollars, the average person making 50k a year will essentially find it difficult to become a home-owner. We are seeing more and more average people become houseless because of this. I believe we all have the right to affordable housing. It’s time to start building tiny home communities.
This past year and a half, I have had countless emails, calls, texts, video chats and in-person meetings with several Counties in FL regarding tiny home development, the best being located in Pinellas and Hillsboro county.
I’m committed to investing my time, energy and money into this passion project, as I know it’s going to make a huge impact on so many people.
